HSIENTA ECOLOGICAL POWER PLANT

As one of the winners of the Hsinta Power Plant International Competition, our proposal examines the synergy between ecological infrastructure and traditional infrastructure.  The project proposes to enhance the existing Mangrove Wetland ecology that provides coastal and waterfront protection for the power plant, while recognizing the importance of protecting the existing ecology network for the endangered Black Face spoonbill bird and other habitats.  Critical to a thriving mangrove ecology is the restoration of natural hydrology to the site, and the connection to daily tidal influence through a break in the existing seawall.  Power plant proposal includes new algae Eco-Skin that echoes the distinct and distant Salt Mountains Of Taiwan.  TS studio received the Selected Awards for our proposed project ‘Synergistic Infrastructure.’
